A Saviour was needed for mankind so that we may return to the presence of God. This was part of the Plan from the beginning, that man would fall into sin and distance himself from God, in order to learn and grow in mortallity, finally to return to Heaven by living worthily and being cleansed by Jesus’s atonement. Because Jesus is the only being to live in the flesh, and yet do no sin, He has enabled all who will believe in Him to be purified in His sacred blood. Because no unclean thing can enter into the presence of our Father in Heaven, we must accept Jesus, and follow Him in order to be fully cleansed to return to live with our Heavenly Father. There is no other way, as without Jesus’s atonement, we are filthy, and must spend eternity somewhere else.
So, Jesus is our advocate with the Father. Matthew 10:32-33 tells us, “Whosoever [confesses] me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father.” There is no other way to redemption than through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus came to die for us, and also to show us what we must do to be saved. The New Testament gives us instruction as to how we should live. “Come follow me”, the Saviour said. By prayerfully studying the Bible, we can know the will of the Lord. By praying we can receive instruction as to what we should do, but we must “ask in faith, nothing wavering.” (James 1:6)
As I have shown on the page, Signs of the times, the Saviour need not delay His coming very much longer. If you have not accepted Christ as your Saviour and redeemer from sin, I pray you will come to ask Him for forgiveness, and follow Him. There is no other way to Eternal Life.
JESUS: Died for us; His blood will cleanse us should we receive Him.
JESUS: He is our advocate with our Father in Heaven. There is no one else to plead our case for us.
JESUS: The Master Teacher showed us how to live that we may be saved.
